Finally my kid is asleep.... so I can start writing,

Where do I begin?.. Arnhem Willemeen I:

We had our kick off at the death/doom festival with our whole tour offcourse and a couple of other bands wich include Officium Triste, The Lucifer Princible ( that was on tour with Devil driver and Godforbid they were sitting in the tourbus outside, rumour went they played a small set after tha last act on the mainstage sadly to say we missed it. ) on the mainstage. It was a real cool day meeting up with Apocrypha for the first time, Bart and I only spoke over the phone but it clicked right away with the other bandmembers.. the boys from Death squad are always relaxed ( even more relaxed in this current line up!! ) Mark the dude that booked us told me that this was the first time ever that it was this crowded in the cafe were he booked the tour the place was packed. The GROESBEUKERS ( all wearing the victimizer colours! ) were present allong with the rest of the inbreed familly and other bands from Nijmegen. We all had a good time and were looking ffwrd 2 the rest of the tour.

Day 2 Mukkes Leeuwarden.

Told myself last year when we palyed Groningen it was the last time I booked a show this far from home....but I am a slow learner I guess... we just picked up from where we left the day before and just had a blast through out the day.. talking and getting to know everybody on the tour.We all hung around with eachother and that`s what it`s all about man.. just having a good time. Very very good china food I must say! Few people showed up but that did not stop us from having a good time and show eachother their earned respect. By the time Death squad played to close up the night only a handfull of people wich included the staff :-) along with me and Romeo were still banging our heads. It doesn`t get any closer to "shits and giggles" then this dude! Sneeked next to my wife in bed at 04:00 AM....... kid went off at 06:00 am HA HA HA the life of being in a band boys and girls.


Day 3 Lazarus Leiden.

Appart from getting there asking each and everybody that was working in a store downtown Leiden yesterday to get to the veneu ( CHRISSSS ) we were early, so Ro and I jumped into the first Micky D that crossed our path.. the rest of the boys went out to get pancakes.... ;-) there is something so sweet to the fact that big boys with tattoo`s ordering flapjacks with mapelsirup in a familly restaurant HA HA.
Back at the venue there were a lot of EURRRRRRRRRRR`s in the air funny thing to make fun off, and victimizer wouldn`t be victimizer if we didn`t........ so we did, and did, and did it some moEERRRRRRRe. The myspace people showed up all the way from amsterdam to show the bands on the tour their support, Hells-bells, Devil-doll, and that little asian chick ;-) Also there was a little slice of history in the making, the old singer from Death squad showed up and did "The day U worshiped me" like he`d never done before! really cool the have seen that!
Best backstage ever with rare vintage LP`s from bands hanging on the wall, an a kick ass bar ( closed )but all to ourselves. We played the best show so far on this tour! sometimes U don`t even need a stage!

"Well, I’m not going to write anything negative about an EP dedicated to our chief editor Marcia Gransbergen, who past away half a year ago. I don’t want to and I don’t have to. “The Spiral Down” is what one might expect from a self produced EP featureing four tracks. The raw sound suits the rocked and rolled death metal music perfectly.

Some distinctive features are the variation within the tracks, averaging 5.30 minute in length, the additional vocals of guitar player Richard and excellent grunts. Victimizer will probably get the right attention with this release. “The Spiral Down” is definitely good enough to make me look forward to their next full length album.

VIOLENT MOSHGROUND MAGAZINE REVIEW

Muzikaal gezien mag ik niet zeuren over deze Nijmeegse Death Thrashers want het klinkt allemaal erg vet moet ik eerlijk zeggen. Muzikaal klinkt het lekker nostalgisch, beetje zoals de Metal klonk op mijn 14/15e levensjaar ! Denk aan de eerste helft van de jaren 90 met bands als: At The Gates, Crowbar, Krisiun, Master, Gorefest en een vleugje Black Metal en Pantera. Fans van lekkere early 90’s Death Metal bezoek ff hun website, bestel die demo en ga naar hun optredens. Vette shit ben benieuwd naar hun optreden in de Tilburgse Little Devi, ik zal er zijn !

3VOOR12 REVIEW De Affaire - Victimizer waardige afsluiter Club Voerweg

Death metal zorgt voor kolkende massa!!

Victimizer is nou typisch zo'n band die je niet vaak genoeg kunt zien. Dat veel mensen hier hetzelfde over denken moge duidelijk zijn, want voor het podium van Club Voerweg is het stampvol. De mooie intro bouwt de spanning flink op en zodra de eerste noot gespeeld wordt verandert de menigte in een kolkende massa.

Victimizer bestaat al de nodige jaren en de leden zijn ervaren muzikanten, iets wat duidelijk te merken is. De drummer haalt met zijn voeten ongekende snelheden en de gitaristen zorgen voor afwisseling door de nodige black metal en zelfs rock'n'roll riffs niet te schuwen. Zanger Niels laat zien hoe een frontman zich hoort te gedragen en blijft het publiek flink opzwepen. De muziek van Victimizer gaat er bij iedereen in als koek. Helaas gaat het allemaal veel te snel en komen ze alweer bij het einde van de set, en dus ook van De Affaire. Gelukkig heeft de presentator - naast te zeggen dat dit het luidruchtigste podium was van heel Nijmegen - de mededeling dat er nog een toegift gespeeld mag worden. Na dit nummer is het dan toch echt over.

Met hun nieuwe sterke EP 'The Spiral Down' op zak en hun skills heeft Victimizer het meer dan verdiend om af te mogen sluiten in Club Voerweg!

VALKHOF A CROWN ON A DREAM..

Hello friends,

Man where can I start... THIS IS WHAT ALL THE EFFORT WAS FOR over the last 10 years. To do a show for such a huge crowd and a loud and active on I must say was a dream come true. The organisation told us there were over 2500 people that showed up from the back to the bar to the front of the stage from side to side people were standing on the road just to get close to the stage!! crowdsurving, stagediving, moshing and by far the biggest circlestorm that we`ve seen at our shows!! Guest vox by Jason!! It was overwelming!!

THE CAVE AMSTERDAM 13-07-07

Hey Friends it`s me again,

At 5 in the morning when ur comming back from a show and ur fellow band mates are forcing u to write the goddamn tour report there is no room to argue!

So with that said.....

Last night was again a night 2 remember, the whole INBRDEED family was present to do that thing we do ( cosa nostra! ). At first our friends from DEATH-SQUAD were called to duty but they were unable to come to do the show with us, so keeping it in the family we hooked up with the 12ers. It became a night of 12ers, chocerz ( CHOCOMEL RULES) and mizers. Lot of people came to the show, and in a small place like the cave it`s packed in the blink of an eye. SO MOSH IT UP!! and they did. Getting the respect from our new family AFTERSHOCK is more u can hope for and somewhere I am sad that they can`t come on tour with us in Oktober. Next year dudes..... there is no stopping in aht can`t be stopped!!
Parking in amsterdam is fucked man I tell U. 3.60 an hour times 5 cars ( Peppies Blazer times 2!!). A fuck it we came, we saw, we drank, we played, drank some more an we tore it up in there! ( to bad the didn`t have Bavjes!! next time sas!! ill put it in the Rider, next to the Jack Daniels.. o wait that`s another band!! ;-) )

The inbreed women, friends from Nijmegen that came ol the way to Amstrdam, Amar the cave lord.. yes we will return, all the new fans that took intrest in our CD`s and supported us. Last but not least the cave dog a boxer called Diego, next time u can drink my beer!

A big fuck u to the Amterdam pigs, U are bloking te road mister!! U sould spent more money on making wider roads then U do on the police force....... U think giving a pig a costume gives somebody more power... well fuck that.. our force is bigger bitch! ( yeah I know didn`t get much shut eye today! HA HA )

TO HELL FEST PT. II REVIEW 3VOOR1

De eerste band van de avond is Misanthropia, een black metalband uit Tilburg. Het grootste gedeelte van de band is afkomstig uit de band Throned by Tyranny. Misantrophia steekt black metal in een populair jasje met hier en daar wat speelse melodielijntjes van de synth en de gitaar. De muzikanten van de band voeren dit behoorlijk goed uit. Opvallend is dat de toetsenist erg virtuoos is. Toch weet de band geen sfeer te creëren of echt iets eigens met de muziek te doen. Het blijft vooral bij een mengelmoes van black metal stijlen.

Kyu, de tweede band van de avond, is een deathcore band uit de omgeving van Arnhem. Het genre van de metalcore en deathcore wordt tegenwoordig behoorlijk uitgemolken, maar deze band weet meer te doen dan alleen extreem strakke en beukende ritmes te produceren. Ze breken uit de vaste ritmepatronen zoals bands als Gojira en Meshuggah dat doen. Het is dan ook duidelijk in de sound te horen dat Kyu door deze bands is beïnvloed. De band weet een verrassend ritmespektakel op te zetten, het is alleen jammer dat de zang zo zacht staat.

Na de ritmewisselingen van Kyu is het tijd voor een wat degelijkere trash metal ondergrond verzorgd door Aftershock. Deze band heeft af en toe wat weg van bands als Destruction en Kreator door een strakke trash ondergrond te creëren, terwijl Aftershock soms wat meer naar een Overkill-achtige groove neigt. We hebben hier dus te maken met een echte beukshow, die aangevuld wordt door de krachtige en rauwe stem van de zanger. De band weet het publiek goed te vermaken: trash metal lijkt nog steeds goed te werken.

De volgende band op het podium omschrijft zijn muziek als 'swamp-core'. Dat is een stijl waar ik nog nooit van heb gehoord, maar zodra 21 Twelve begint te spelen, komt duidelijk naar voren waar de band zijn invloeden vandaan heeft. Ze pakken wat van de death 'n roll van Entombed, wat speelse lijntjes van Black Sabbath en combineren dit met een gorgelende stem en gitaren. De stem van de zanger doet soms een beetje denken aan Rob Zombie. Het mag dus wel duidelijk zijn dat swamp-core een labeltje is dat moeiteloos op deze band geplakt kan worden. Een heerlijk potje ranzige rock 'n roll gaat er altijd wel in.

"This is the end", zong Jim Morrison in 1967, voor hem zou het einde echter pas in 1971 komen. 36 jaar na zijn dood werkt zijn invloed nog steeds door in verschillende genres. Apocalyptische thematiek is tegenwoordig populair bij metal en dan voornamelijk in het doom metal genre dat ontstaan is uit een terugblik op de Sabbath-jaren. De vijfde band van de avond Another Messiah mag zich tot dit doom metal genre rekenen: zij maken post-doom. Dit betekent dat de band veel gebruik maakt van bezwerende melodieën, afgewisseld met zware mid-tempo metalstukken. Post-doom is een zwaardere variant van de post-hardcore die door Transmission Zero in Nederland zijn sporen nalaat.

Live is deze band zeer overtuigend. Een omschrijving als post-doom is misschien enigszins vaag, maar de band vormt op het podium een stabiel geheel. De langzame doom groove wordt moeiteloos afgewisseld met de bezwerende melodieën van de hobo. Dit is nou echt van die muziek waar je helemaal in opgezogen wordt. Met volle overtuiging en veel passie verspreidt Another Messiah zijn beukende en tegelijkertijd melancholische muziek.

Als afsluiter speelt Victimizer, de organisator van het festival. Al snel wordt duidelijk dat deze band al behoorlijk populair aan het worden is in de omgeving. Vanaf de eerste tonen gaan de voorste linies uit hun dak en een moshpit is al snel een feit. Victimizer speelt erg strak en geniet duidelijk van de respons. Het publiek wordt goed bij de show betrokken, zo mogen twee fans een nummer meezingen op het podium en doet de zanger nog even een stagedive. De drummer toont zijn kunsten en blaast iedereen bijna letterlijk omver. Als de set voorbij is willen de mensen meer, waarop Victimizer het eerste nummer nog een keer over doet. Dan bedankt de band voor de steun en de respons gedurende de hele avond. Langzaam vertrekt iedereen weer, moe en bezweet maar voldaan.

STUDIO REPORT @ HARROW 07-04-07

Yes yes fuckers, we have finally made into the studio, after playing a gig for Warchild @ Merleyn on Friday. We played the whole EP in it`s original form, and the responds was amazing!!! We packed up our shit and went straight to bed. Due to the fact we had to be in Losser at this ungodly hour to record out follow up to our full length DIVIDED AS ONE.
Meeting up with Harry was an event all on it`s own.. this man is responsible for all of the ASPHYX sound and cd`s, and with me being a number one ASPHYX fan this is a dream come true. Romeo, our drummer didn't take to long to record the tracks, same as the bass parts from Chris, so after the first day they were done. Soon Harry found out that I was a ASPHYX fan, and told me that they were rehearsing later on @ the studio, that made me a bit nervous. Meeting up with drummer Bob was absolutely cool, can 't wait till next week when the whole of ASPHYX will be playing!! ;-)
The second day of recording after having a lot of shits 'n giggels during the night we spent @ the studio, it was time to put on the guitar tracks. It`s safe to say there was no problem here!! Only 1 track remaining for the guitar parts.

So all and all we are ahead of schedule with only the vocal parts and crossing the T's here and there and it's on to the mixing!
